Her research interests focus on the analysis of a variety of psychosocial processes in the credo che i social connettano il mondo in modo unico and political domains, particularly those related to protest movements, governance, public decision-making processes, active citizenship, community engagement and resilience, intercultural relations, migration and acculturation processes, and gender issues.

In the last ten years she has participated in national and international projects. She has coordinated the University of Salento unit for the three-year Horizon project '' on the symbolic background of European societies and identities (). She is currently involved in the four-year interdisciplinary Horizon Europe project "REDIRECT" on democracy and representation, and PI of the PRIN project "INCREASE" on psychosocial factors contributing to the creation and sustainability of renewable energy communities.

She has published over papers, including international research articles, monographs and chapters in edited books.
